PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball point pen which does not cause negative affections, such as the deterioration in the preservability of an ink due to a perfume, on the performances of the ink, and persistently stabilizes the psychological influence of the smell. SOLUTION: The characteristic of the ball point pen is to add a perfume X to an ink M having a shearedly lowerable viscosity which is statically high but is lowered by the rotation of a transfer ball 1 on a writing treatment to exclude the ink M. Therein, a means for adding the perfume X to the ink M includes a means for homogeneously dispersing the perfume X in the ink M in a spherical particle state by a high speed stirring operation, and a means for using an aqueous ink as the ink M and simultaneously adding a surfactant to the ink M to solubilize the perfume containing an oil component by the hydrophilic action of the surfactant, thus homogeneously adding the perfume X to the ink M.
