PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable infant to go in and out easily and improve the safety and design by setting a door, which opens and closes in a horizontal direction, with a hinge that enclose around and has a rotation axis of vertical direction. SOLUTION: A playpen for infant C is comprised of a door body 1, which is made of a door 11 and a supporting frame 2, a common back face panel and side face panel 3, a corner panel 4, and a lock mechanism 5. Hinge axes 26a, 26b set on the supporting frame 2 are fitted into a bearing rotatably. The bearing which is set on the shoulder part of one bulging part of the door 11 and opposed bottom face. The hinge axes 26a, 26b are set on the bottom face of stair part of inside of one column 21a and an opposing lower frame 22 and fit into the bearing of door main body 11 rotatably. A cap 28 is mounted on a hole 27 set on the lower frame 22 and the top part of lock bar of lock mechanism 5 is inserted into the cap 28. As the playpen has a door that opens and closes in a horizontal direction with a hinge that has a rotation axis of vertical direction and the opening part is opened fully, it is easy for infant to go in and out.
