PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous operation when an article to be cooked is subjected to extra heating. SOLUTION: The heater/cooker comprises means 24 for setting an extension time of heating/cooking depending on the operation of a user, means 43 for making a decision whether the difference between a first weight of an article to be cooked detected by a weight detecting means 19 at the end of heating/ cooking operation and a second weight of the article when the door is opened for the first time after ending heating/cooking operation falls within a specified range or not, and means 43 for invalidating operation of the heating condition setting means 24-27 and validating operation of the means 24 as an extension time setting means if the difference falls within a specified range otherwise invalidating operation of the means 24 as an extension time setting means and validating operation of the heating condition setting means 24-27.
