PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject roller which guarantees the accurate travel of a belt, can draft fibers having various fineness values by slightly changing a press force at the axially central portion of the roller, and has excellent operability by disposing a bushing capable of being moved in the radial direction in the central portion of the roller. SOLUTION: This roller 10 used for the belt type draft device of a fine spinning frame, wherein the axially central portion of the roller 10 is inward depressed in the radial direction in comparison with both the side end circumferential edge portions 13, 14. Therein, a bushing 17 capable of being moved in the radial direction is disposed in the central portion of the roller 10. The outer diameter of the bushing 17 is the same as or slightly smaller than the diameters of both the side end circumferential edge portions 13, 14. The roller 10 has an axially directed space 19 between both the side end circumferential edge portions 13, 14, and is formed of two the portions 11, 12 which have the same and mirror symmetric shapes with respect to a surface perpendicular to the axial line. Both the portions 11, 12 comprise the circumferential edge portions 13, 14 and axially extended portions 15, 16 which have a smaller diameter than those of the circumferential edge portions 13, 14. Both the axially extended portions 15, 16 are brought into contact with each other to limit the radial direction displacement of the bushing 17.
