PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable takeout of carried article from an intermediate part of a belt conveyor with simple facility by providing a sliding member supporting a conveyor belt in a plane manner at an intermediate discharge part of the conveyor, and a scraper comming in contact with the belt from above while sliding thereon at the intermediate discharge part. SOLUTION: When an elevation frame 4 is raised by an elevation cylinder 6, a conveyor belt 10a of a belt conveyor 1a is raised slantly at an angle ofθ2, then its upper surface is brought into contact with a scraper 2 and is held between the scraper 2 and a sliding member 5. Thereby, an article conveyed by the conveyor 1a is shifted to one side by a scraper 2, then dropped into a chute 7 and discharged to a belt conveyor 1b. If the frame 4 is left in the lowered state when there is no neccessity of performing the discharge at the intermediate part, the belt 10a advances in a horizontal state while sliding on an upper surface of a sliding member 5, and the conveyed article is conveyed as it is without being in contact with the scraper 2.
