PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the per-unit volume of a filter unit and at the same time, separate each of the filter units from the other to be movable by connecting plural filter units so that filtered water drained from a drainage means of one of the filter units is supplied by a supply means of the other filter unit. SOLUTION: Treated water from which a suspended matter is previously separated is drained as a primary filtered water to the outside of a filter unit (a) by a drainage means 7 (a) of a filter medium layer 5 (a). Next, this filtered water is transferred to a supply means 3 (b) of a secondary filter unit (b) and at the same time, is supplied to a filter medium layer 5 (b) through a uniflux chamber 4 (b). Further, the suspended matter is again filter-separated to be discharged from a drainage means 7 (b). After that, the filtered water is supplied to a tertiary filter unit 1 (c) through a connecting path 8 (b), and the suspended matter is filter-separated three times with the help of a filter medium 5 (c) consisting of sand arranged in a filtration tank 2 (c). Finally the filtered water is drained as a clean water to the outside of the filtration device.
