PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a flexible pipe to a counterpart pipe material keeping sealing ability and mechanical strength. SOLUTION: This connecting device is formed by a connector main body member 11 presenting the substantially cylindrical shape as a whole and a fastening ring member 12. The connector main body member 11 constitutes a first fitting part 14 having a first fitting hole 16 in which one end of a flexible pipe 1 is fitted on one side, and a second fitting part 15 having a second fitting hole 17 communicated with the first fitting hole through a stepped part 18, to which a connecting pipe 2 is fitted on the other side. The stepped part is tapered from the first fitting hole to the second fitting hole. The fastening ring member presents a cylindrical shape as a whole having an outside diameter substantially equal to the inside diameter of the first fitting hole of the connector main body member and an inside diameter substantially equal to the outside diameter of the flexible pipe 1, and is provided with an engagement piece 23 integrally formed thereon to be freely elastically deformed in the direction intersecting perpendicularly to the axis.
