PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of odor and improve the heat resistance, water resistance and flexibility by using a thermoplastic polyester elastomer having a specified hard segment and a specified soft segment copolymerized together. SOLUTION: A high-melting hard segment made from an acid component comprising mainly an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and a glycol component comprising mainly an aliphatic and/or alicyclic dihydroxy compound is copolymerized with a low-melting polymer segment having a molecular weight of 400 to 6,000. The melting point of a high polymer formed only from the high-melting hard segment constituent will be 180 deg.C or higher, while the melting point or softening point when measured on only the low-melting polymer segment constituent will be 80 deg.C or lower. The glycol component in the high-melting hard segment preferably comprises ethylene glycol or 1,4-butanediol. It is desirable that the low-melting polymer segment comprises a poly(oxytetramethylene) glycol and accounts for 15-75% of the total weight of the polyester.
