PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for vehicles with a containing section for containing newspaper, a magazine or the like at an outer section of the seat, for containing articles without exposing to the rain, for opening a plate in a state that the newspaper, the magazine or the like is contained at the outside, and for not supporting the plate at opening it. SOLUTION: A seat S for vehicles has a containing section 20 at a back surface of a back board 11 of a reclining back section 10. The containing section 20 forms a containing recess section 21 formed at the back surface of the back board 11, a fixed space at a side of the containing recess section 21, a magazine rack 40 at an opposite side of the containing recess section 21, and a plate 30 of which lower section is supported through a hinge mechanism at the back surface of the back board 11 and of which upper section is moveable to separating and contacting directions to the back board 11 and detachable to the back board 11 is provided thereon.
