PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording medium having excellent recording image quality and confidentiality. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer recording medium comprises an upper recording sheet having a thermal transfer layer containing a leuco dye and a thermally fusible organic compound on one surface of an upper base material sheet, and a lower recording sheet having a thermal transfer receiving layer containing a colorant and an adhesive on one surface of a lower base material sheet in such a manner that the thermal transfer layer and the receiving layer are releasably adhered. Portions having opacities (based on JIS P8139) of 80% or below, and 95% or above are provided on the upper recording sheet. |
