PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the labor of inputting through keys and prevent wrong printing by reading bar codes by a bar code scanner and calling information on commodities from the read bar codes. SOLUTION: A bar code scanner 6 automatically reads bar codes of labels and outputs bar code data to a microcomputer 1. The microcomputer 1 analyzes the bar code data and temporarily stores code information into a code memory part 14. The bar code data stored in the code memory part 14 and bar code data stored in a printing data memory part 13 before printing is carried out are compared with each other to check whether the bar code read by the bar code scanner 6 is a bar code to be printed by a printing part 2 or not. When the bar code is correctly printed, a commodity master 12 is read from commodity codes of the bar code data stored in the code memory part 14 and displayed to a touch screen 3.
