<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device in an image forming device capable of automatically switching type of separation pad and/or angle of the separation pad without necessitating troublesome operation. SOLUTION: This paper feeding device in an image forming device is provided with a plurality of separation pads 1, 2 which separate paper 56 one by one and whose coefficients of friction for the paper 56 differ and has a separation member automatic switching mechanism for automatically switching a plurality of these separation pads 1, 2. The separation member automatic switching mechanism consists of a separation pads pressure switching part A, a separation pad angle switching part B, a ball screw 20 fixing a worm wheel 21, a ball nut 19 screw-fitted in the ball screw 20, a worm 22 which meshes with the worm wheel 21 and moves a movable member 18 in the direction of paper width Y by rotating the ball screw 20, a pad switching motor 23 rotating the worm 22, and switching detection sensors 25, 26 detecting a switching position of the movable member 18.</p> |
