PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyamide resin composition which can give a molded article good in mechanical characteristics such as bending strength, tensile strength at break and the like, excellent in face impact resistance and self- tapping properties, having a low molding shrinkage factor and improved in surface appearance and dimensional stability upon water absorption, and to provide a self-tapping component made therefrom. SOLUTION: There is provided a composition which comprises 28-78 wt.% of a polyamide resin consisting of a crystalline polyamide resin and an amorphous polyamide resin, 20-70 wt.% of a glass fiber and 2-6 wt.% and an acid- modified elastomer, the total composition adding up to 100 wt.%, and has self- tapping properties including the characteristics, (1) a return torque >=15 kg.cm; and (2) return torque/failure torque >=0.5. |
