The weight of the steering wheel 13 is determined by the quantity of oil fed from the PS pump 22 to the PS valve 23. In this case, the controller 33 grasps present lift height and load by input signals from lift height sensors 30, 31 and a load sensor 32 and obtains the set rotating speed of the PS motor 21, referring to a map set to make rotating speed lower as the center-of-gravity height is higher from the data of lift height and load.
