PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use vertical and horizontal bars made of a heat insulating material, which form a frame of a curtain wall, and to prevent overturn of the horizontal bar due to a load of a panel which an indoor member receives when the panel is supported by the indoor member, to thereby avoid excessive application of a force on the heat insulating material. SOLUTION: A horizontal bar 2 is supported by a vertical bar 1 at both edges on the side of an indoor member 2a of the horizontal bar 2. A wear plate 4 having a lug 5 protruding therefrom on the vertical member 1 side closer to the indoor member 2a is connected to an edge surface of the horizontal bar 2, and a linking member 6 and a horizontal bar bracket 1 are connected to the vertical bar 1. Thus, while the lug 5 of the wear plate 4 is engaged with the linking member 6, a portion of the wear plate 4 of the horizontal bar 2 closer to the indoor member 2a or the indoor member 2a is supported by the horizontal bar bracket 7.
