PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound useful as a catalyst for obtaining an optically active haloalkylated compound from the corresponding aldehyde or ketone. SOLUTION: This new compound is a compound of formula I (R1 to R6 are each an alkyl, aryl, alkoxyalkyl or the like, at least one of them being optically active; X is F or a group R3SnF2; R is an alkyl, alkoxy, aryl or the like), e.g. a compound of formula II. The compound of formula I is obtained, pref. for example, by reaction of a compound of formula III(Y is Cl, Br or I) with a fluoroion exchange resin. By the way, the compound of formula III is prepared, for example, by reaction of a compound of formula IV(e.g. a compound of formula V) with an oxidizing agent such as 1-chlorobenzotriazole in the presence (absence) of a solvent such as dichloromethane pref. at -78 to -60 deg.C for 1-5 h followed by reaction of the product with a compound of the formula: NHR5R6 pref. at -100 deg.C to the reflux temperature of the solvent for 1-24 h. |
