<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron club head wherein the weight of the face back surface is reduced without causing the deformation of the face surface or the reduction of durability. SOLUTION: In this iron club head 1 which is placed on the same horizontal surface as a ball at a specified loft angle and a specified lie angle, the thickness t of at least one section of the face back surface being higher than a geometrical contact point 4 located on a face surface 3 which comes into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the ball 2, is set at 2 mm or lower so as to be thin. By this constitution, a golf club wherein a low center of specific gravity is attained, and the moment of inertia is larger, and which is gentle to average golfers can be obtained.</p> |
