PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the impact to be given to a thread package by a contact roller in the transferring from a floating winding state to an ordinary winding state in a thread winding process. SOLUTION: This device comprises, for example, a conical spring-shaped elastic supporting means (k) between a slide box sb mounted vertically movably to a frame (f) and supporting a contact roller, and the frame (f). The elastic supporting means (k) provides the elastic repulsion in the direction opposite to the approaching direction when the contact roller is contacted with the thread package, so that the sudden change of the contact pressure in the contact of the contact roller can be relieved, and the thread can be prevented from being damaged and cut. Further the clearance between the contact roller and a bobbin in the floating taking-up can be adjusted to a set value, the contact time of the contact roller can be easily estimated, and the transferring from the floating winding state to the ordinary winding state, and the switching of a control method for the rotation and driving of a bobbin holder can be surely synchronized.
