PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation by swelling at flanks and collapse of packing arising from mounted load by a method wherein protuberances projecting upward and downward from the external faces of upper and lower support surfaces supporting end faces of a packed article against an external cardboard are provided at upper and lower end faces of an internal cardboard. SOLUTION: Insertion holes are provided at an external cardboard 4 for an article 1 to be packed. Protuberant insertion pieces are provided for an internal cardboard 5 at its upper and lower end faces contacting with the external faces of upper and lower support surfaces formed at the external cardboard 4, and the insertion pieces are inserted into the insertion holes of the external cardboard 4 to form cushioning materials 2, and thereby protuberances 12 projecting upward and downward are formed. An internal cardboard 6 is fitted against the internal cardboard 5, and engaging pieces provided at upper and lower support surfaces at one side are inserted into engaging holes of the internal cardboard 6. As a result of such processes, a structure wherein the internal cardboard 5 is placed between the external cardboard 4 and the internal cardboard 6 is formed. The external cardboard 4 and the internal cardboard 5 are combined together by such a structure, and a mounted load applied to a packaging case 3 is also applied to the cushioning material 2, and deformation by swelling at flanks can be prevented from occurring to the packaging case 3 and collapse of packing arising from deformation by swelling at flanks can also be prevented.
