PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the position of a tool at high accuracy in a trace amount range by providing a drive means which is connected to an elastic means from other direction crossing at right angles with one direction, elastically deforms the elastic means by moving in the other direction, and moves the other end side of the elastic means by a trace amount. SOLUTION: One end side brim part 1a side of an elastic member 1 is fixed and a tool is attached to the other end side brim part 1b side. A drive motor 5 of a drive means 3 is driven to move a ball nut 11 in the left direction by a prescribed distance. This process elastically deforms the elastic member 1 so as to be into a state expressed by a virtual line. In this position, the tool is in a separated stated relative to a work. The drive motor 5 of the drive means 3 is inversely rotated as necessary so that the ball nut 11 is returned to the right direction, thereby releasing the elastic deformation of the elastic member 1. The tool thus approaches/moves in the direction of the work in a trance amount range.
