PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aromatic polyamide film roll having excellent spreadability of magnetic layer, etc. SOLUTION: This roll is obtained by rolling an aromatic polyamide film, has 1-8μm film thickness, <=8% thickness unevenness and difference H between the maximum and the minimum of a roll diameter in a range of the equation H<=0.3 W+250 (H is the difference (μm) between the maximum and the minimum of the roll diameter of the film roll in winding of 5,000 m length and W is film width (mm)).
