PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pattern a cement product by utilizing calcium efforescence which has been only a target to be reduced or prevented. SOLUTION: This method for patterning a cement product comprises (A) wetting the surface portion 2 of the cement product 1 having a hydration age of <=7 days with water 5 and bringing the surface into contact with air or its mixture with carbon dioxide, (B) drying the surface of the surface portion 2 to deposit the efforescence of calcium in the state maintaining the contact with the air, and, if necessary, (C) repeating the processes (A) and (B) until giving a desired pattern.
