<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for culturing hepatocytes capable of maintaining the cultured hepatocyte functions stably and for a long period of time. SOLUTION: This culturing method is provided by using a fixed gel containing type I collagen removed with telopeptide as a main component as a culturing material, and characterized by not containing or containing <=50 mg/L concentration of glycine. Further, desirably the culturing liquid does not contain a serum, and is characterized by containing at least one of a group consisting of glucagons, insulin, epithelial growth factor, dexamethasone, dimethylsulfoxide, nicotinic acid amide and a selenium-containing compound.</p> |
