<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect first and second strip-like metal sheets to each other again without generating any remarkable stepped portions or projecting portions by eliminating any lap-welded portion of the first and second strip-like metal sheets. SOLUTION: When a first hoop set on a first delivering machine HP1 or a second hoop set on a second delivering machine HP2 is wound by lapping and connecting a plurality of strip-like metal sheets to each other, lap-connected portions are removed by a tape shear part 30. The first and second strip-like metal strips which are split by removing the lap-connected portions are introduced in a connection mechanism part 40, a rear end face of a preceding strip- like metal sheet and a forward end face of a succeeding strip-like metal sheet are butted, and connected to each other by the laser beam welding. First and second strip-like metal sheets Blr are re-connected to each other by a connection portion free from any remarkable stepped or projecting portions.</p> |
