PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a spot welding electrode tip for insulating treatment where the durability under the high temp. is improved and the uneven fusion of the welding is prevented by removing the factor generating divided current flow. SOLUTION: The electrode tip upper mold 1 and the electrode tip lower mold 2 are formed of Al2O3 films 1c, 2c by alumite treatment after making aluminum ferrule structural sheaths 1b, 2b cover the electrode tip copper base metal 1d, 2d to form the insulating coatings 1a, 2a.
