<p>The invention relates to a process for the preparation of self-crosslinking, cationic paint binders based on modified aminoalkylation products of phenols, which process is characterised in that an aminoalkylation product, having at least one secondary amino group, of a phenol is reacted with epoxide compounds, and the reaction product, after heat treatment, is reacted with partially blocked isocyanate compounds. The process enables the use of blocking agents, which allow baking temperatures of from 130 to 150 degrees Celsius.</p> |
