PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording medium which is excellent in terms of brightness especially in a white paper part and a printed part, print density, ink absorbability, a recorded image quality or the like as suitability for ink jet recording and further, is of high surface strength. SOLUTION: A recording sheet has one or more recording layers formed on a substrate. In this case, any one of the recording layers contains a cationic copolymer containing a silanol group and a tertiary amino group or a quaternary ammonium base, and fine silica particles consisting of primary particles whose average particle size is 3-40 nm, and secondary particles whose average particle size is 10-500 nm. |
