PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an image quality by controlling an ink flow rate so that a total discharge volumetric flow rate of a plurality of inks becomes constant at all times. SOLUTION: A piezoelectric element is controlled by a control part 36 to make a total supply amount of a first and a second inks supplied from each ink channel constant at all times. The first and second inks thus controlled on flow rate are discharged as a continuous flow from an ink discharge port where a first and a second channels join and continuously applied to a print paper 12. Since a total flow rate of the plurality of inks discharged from the ink discharge port is maintained constant at all times, a transfer condition for ink liquids after mixed to an image-receiving body is made uniform and, the liquids can be transferred smoothly. For example, in an ink jet system, images of a high quality can be stably formed without affecting liquid drops for adjacent pixels by making a flow rate to be supplied newly to the ink discharge port agree with a volume of flying liquid drops. |
