<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device in staircases for improving the safety for falling and dropping from a staircase. SOLUTION: This safety device in staircases is provided with a speed sensor which measures the moving speed of persons going upward and downward along a staircase, a weight sensor 2 on the top and bottom of the staircase, an air bag 3 between steps adjacent to each other, impact sensor 4 at each step. The air bag is operated with the components mentioned above connected to a controller 5 at the occurrence of falling accident at a steep by operating the controller 5. This constitution protects the head and body of the person who falls from the staircase.</p> |
