SOLUTION: In this control device in which a fail-safe valve 9 is interposed between an oil passage L3 and an oil passage L2 which are connected to shift control valves 61, 64, 65 and is changed to a closing position at the time of fail when oil is supplied to a plurality of hydraulic connecting elements that should not simultaneously be engaged with each other so as to prevent lubrication to the shift control valves 61, 64, 65, a composite signal valve 13 is arranged which outputs signal pressure when oil pressures of the two hydraulic connecting elements C1, C2 of a first group are increased. Oil pressures of the hydraulic connecting elements C3, B1, B2 of a second group and signal pressure from the composite signal valve 13 are inputted to the fail-safe valve 9, and when more than one of these oil pressures and signal pressure are increased together, the fail-safe valve 9 is changed to the closing position.
