PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform an automatic doffing operation by a cam mechanism by entirely completing the automatic doffing by a series of rotating operations while a doffing shaft rotates once when a fixed winding quantity is attained. SOLUTION: When a yarn reaches a fixed winding quantity, a doffing shaft 55 rotates to reversely operate a cradle device 35. During this reversing operation, an oiling separating cam 61 integrally formed with the doffing shaft 55 is actuated to separate the yarn from an oiling roller, and a yarn cutting cam 67 is also actuated to cut the yarn. When an empty paper tube feeing cam 77 is then actuated to supply an empty paper tube to the cradle 35, a cradle opening and closing cam 59 is actuated to close a cradle opening and closing device so that the follow empty paper tube is grasped in the cradle device 35, which is then returned to the original position. During this, a yarn hooking cam 75 and an oiling separating cam 61 are actuated to bring the yarn into contact with the oiling roller so as to perform the oiling.
