PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a broom which is increased in the friction force to allow smooth sweeping of fallen leaves adhered to a paved road of asphalt, etc., and to allow light sweeping of ordinary dust. SOLUTION: If the fallen leaves are swept by the rubber material surfaces of the broom, of which the one surfaces of tips are composed of fibrous material and the other surfaces are composed of rubber material, the friction force of the tips of the broom and the fallen leaves is greater than the friction force of the asphalt having the greater friction force among the paved roads and the fallen leaves and, therefore, the smooth sweeping is made possible. If the fallen leaves are swept by the surfaces composed of the fibrous material, the friction to the cleaning surface is small and, therefore, the light sweeping is possible.
