PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction tool for vacuum cleaner capable of reducing noise generated from a rotary brush rotated by an electric motor, and to provide a vacuum cleaner using the suction tool. SOLUTION: The rotary brush 19 is freely rotatably provided inside a suction tool main body 18 so as to face a suction port 27 opened on the lower surface of the suction tool main body 18. For the rotary brush 19, the electric motor 30 for rotationally driving the rotary brush 19, a reduction device 31 for reducing the revolving speed of the electric motor 30 and a gear 32 for transmitting the output of the reduction device 31 to a brush holder 28 are provided inside the almost cylindrical brush holder 28 provided with plural brushes 29 on an outer peripheral surface and the brush holder 28 and the gear 32 are connected by interposing a buffer material 47.
