PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the inconvenience of decrease of separation accuracy and increase of scattered particles at the time of treatment of seeds in a selecting device automatically controlling the opening of a filtering and selecting part so that the detected value of a sensor for detecting an amount of a material to be selected and treated may keep a prescribed standard value. SOLUTION: When detecting the amount of materials to be separated and treated at a threshing and separation part, and determining a target opening of a chaff sieve 38 so that the detected value by a sensor for detecting the amount of a material to be separated and treated may be kept at a prescribed standard value, the materials to be separated and a treated is classified into a seed or not, and when the material is classified as the seed, the standard vale is changed to the standard value for treating the seed which is set to the value smaller than the standard value for treating grains.
