PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a refrigeration system which can deal with protection of ozone layer and prevention of global warming while enhancing the coefficient of performance COP without increasing the dimensions of housing of an outdoor unit. SOLUTION: R32 is employed as the refrigerant of a refrigeration system comprising an outdoor unit 10 where a chamber for disposing a heat exchanger 2 is portioned from a machine chamber for disposing a compressor 4 by means of a partitioner 7. The machine chamber for disposing a compressor 4 is reduced by setting the volume ratio U/W between the chamber for disposing a heat exchanger 2 and the machine chamber for disposing a compressor 4 at 2.7 or above. Since the chamber for disposing a heat exchanger 2 is increased relatively, heat exchanging area is increased and the capacity can be increased. |
