PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous energy absorption system capable of continuously absorbing impact energy while being controlled and excellent in effectiveness and safety. SOLUTION: A metal band 10 is interposed between an upper member 11 and a lower member 12 having specified cross section and fixed by a specified method. When energy is supplied as a result of specified load being applied, the metal band 10 gradually moves between the upper member 11 and lower member 12 while being gradually deformed, or when the upper member 11 and lower member 12 are continuously dragged along the metal band 10, the metal band 10 is gradually deformed. Impact energy is therefore absorbed continuously while being controlled. |
