PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare an itching inhibitor capable of exhibiting excellent itching- inhibiting effect and useful for the therapy and prophylaxis of atopic dermatitis by including a compound having chymase-inhibiting action as an active principle. SOLUTION: This itching inhibitor contains a compound having chymase- inhibiting action as an active principle, which is preferably a compound of the formula [wherein, R is H, an alkyl or the like; R5 to R7 are each H, an alkyl or the like; M is C or N; Y is a cycloalkyl, an aryl or the like; Z is CF2R8 (wherein, R8 is H, a halogen, an alkyl or the like); (n) is 0 or 1] or its salt. The compound of the above formula is e.g. 2-[5-amino-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-6- oxo-1,6-dihydro-1-pyrimidinyl]-N-[1-[5-(methoxycarbonyl)benzoxazol-2- yl]carbonyl]-2-phenylethyl]acetamide.
