PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce labor by omitting preliminary work for making joining parts inconspicuous much as possible when artificial lawns are joined with each other. SOLUTION: In an artificial lawn 7 wherein piles 9 are implanted on a base cloth 8 at predetermined clearances, a width Wc of the base cloth 8, which protrudes outwardly from a pile 9a located on an outermost end in its width direction, is set below the half of a clearance Wa in a width direction between piles. An artificial lawn is executed while filling a granular matter between piles after laying with one artificial lawn 7 and another artificial lawn or two or more artificial lawns 7 joined in the breadth wise direction.
