摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyaddition copolymer as a functional polymer showing a high glass transition point and excellent in heat resistance by making it contain triazine ring in its main chain and have an aromatic ring in its side chain. SOLUTION: This polyaddition copolymer of a bisepoxy compound-s- triazinediarylethers polyaddition copolymer is obtained by making it contain triazine ring in its main chain and have an aromatic ring in its side chain so as to become approximately 2,000-200,000 number-average molecular weight. The polyaddition copolymer has a recurrent unit of the formula [R is the bisepoxy compound residue; R' is a substituted amino; Ar is a (substituted) aryl]. The polyaddition copolymer is produced by subjecting the bisepoxy compound with s-triazinediarylethers under a polyaddition reaction in the presence of a catalyst in an organic solvent. The polyaddition copolymer is useful as a raw material, etc., of a high performance engineering plastic.
