PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stabilizer composition for an organic polymeric material, exhibiting a markedly excellent heat resistance and processing stabilizing effect by compounding a phenolic antioxidant and a phosphorus antioxidant with a hydroxy-spiro-bis-coumarone compound in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: The stabilizer composition is obtained by mixing 99.5-90 wt.%, in total, phenolic antioxidant and phosphorus antioxidant with 0.5-10 wt.% hydroxy-spiro-bis-coumarone compound of the formula (wherein R1, R2, and R3 are each H, hydroxyl, or a 1-4C linear or branched alkyl). The ratio of the phenolic antioxidant to the phosphorus antioxidant is usually 1/0.1 to 1/10 by weight. The organic polymeric material to which the composition is added is desirably an olefin resin, especially, anα-olefin homopolymer or copolymer. Polypropylene or polyethylene is the most desirable.
