PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new gene which has a specific base sequence, contains a signal sequence for excreting an expression product, and codes for glucodexitranase which is specific to α-1,6-glucoside bond, and can be used for producing isomaltooligosaccharide and so on. SOLUTION: This is a new gene which has the base sequence from No.304 to No.3363 in the formula, contains a DNA coding for a signal peptide for excreting an expressed polypeptide, and codes for glucodexitranase which is highly specific to α-1,6-glucoside bond, and can be used for producing isomaltooligosaccharide and so on. This gene is obtained by culturing Arthrobacter globiformis strain I42 (FERM P-15806), isolating chromosomal DNA from the cells, preparing a gene library using the obtained DNA, followed by screening the obtained library using a probe consisting of its partial sequence. |
