PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject liquid composition capable of suppressing decomposition of paeonflorin and being stable for a long period by including a nonionic surfactant. SOLUTION: This liquid composition comprises paeonflorin and a nonionic surfactant, e.g. polyoxyethylene hardened castor oil, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene glycol or polyethylene glycol fatty acid ester in an amount of 15-600 pts.wt. based on 1 pt.wt. paeonflorin. Furthermore, paeonflorin content is preferably 1.0×10-4 to 1.0 w/v%. PH of the above composition is preferably 2.5-7. Furthermore, paeonflorin is an active ingredient for crude medicine having analgesic, sedative and antispastic action, e.g. paeonia albiflora or Bontannpi (root of Paeonia moutan) and dried powder, extract, etc., of these crude medicines can be used. |
