PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the filter capability of small particles and outstanding wear resistance by providing a body comprising an outer shell, i.e., an outer layer of an extruded mesh, one or more layers each of a span coupling filter medium and a molten blow-molded filter medium and an upper and a lower panel consisting of a fitting member for fitting a filter to a suction fuel pump inlet. SOLUTION: An in-tank fuel filter assembly 30 is equipped with a body 32 having a folding line 34 and a seal 36. The body 32 has a demarcated internal space 38 which is formed of an upper and a lower composite panel 40A, 40B. In addition, an outlet fitting member 42 is attached to the surface of the upper composite panel 40A and is equipped with a rataining washer 46 having a spring tab 48. Further, a spacing member 50 with a sufficient internal height is formed on the surface of the inner face (upper face) of the lower composite panel 40B so as to separate the inner faces of the upper and the lower composite panel 40A, 40B from each other. Besides, the upper and the lower composite panel 40A, 40B have two layers of an outer layer, i.e., an outer shell of an extruded mesh and a span coupling material respectively, and an intermediate layer of a molten blow-molded material is sandwiched between the two layers.
