PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a customer easily recognize a compensation effect onto other defects generated by a camera by printing images in accordance with an enhancement determined to each of a plurality of images, supplying a comparison photographic image when no enhancement is present and printing one of images ordered by the customer having a predetermined amount of enhancement not including any one of the enhancement. SOLUTION: When a plurality of images are loaded into a computer 45, each image is analyzed on some predetermined characteristics and the characteristics are automatically digitally enhanced on the basis of a predetermined criterion. The enhanced images are sent to a printer 24 for printing. The printer 24 determines an enhancement rating for each of the images ordered by a customer and prints images having a predetermined amount of enhancement. Without the enhancement, the CPU 45 supplies a comparison photographic image and prints one of images ordered by the customer having the predetermined amount of enhancement not including any one of the enhancement.
