The polyolefins may be polymers of ethylene or propylene and the metal may be steel, copper, aluminium, zinc or tin. In Example 7 steel plate coated with sulphochlorinated polyethylene from toluene solution is coated with polyethylene in a fluidised bed of powdered polyethylene and the resulting coating fused at 170‹C.
