PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have dustproof for a drive part of a carriage, etc., of a laser beam machining device which can drive in a high speed, is fire proof and is a low cost structure. SOLUTION: A carriage 7 having a machining head 9 is movable in the left/right direction by a drive part 5 arranged to a main body frame 3. The surrounding of the drive part 5 of the carriage 7 is covered by a dustproof cover 25 having an opening part 27 in the running range of the carriage 7. A flat belt 29 is movable in a loop following the movement of the carriage 7 inside the dust proof cover 25. The opening art 27 of the dustproof cover 25 is always covered by the flat belt 29. A work on a work table is irradiate with a laser beam LB starting a bend mirror arranged inside the dustproof cover 25, through the carriage 7 and from a nozzle 11 of the machining head 9, laser beam machining is done. Because, in moving the carriage 7, the flat belt 29 is moved in a loop while covering the opening part 27 of the dustproof cover 25. The dustproof cover 25 inside is always tightly sealed to surely conduct dust proof.
