<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a crystal on the outer peripheral surface of a plunger by which leakage of liquid is caused. SOLUTION: A plunger pump comprises a cylindrical pump chamber 3; a cylinder 2 provided with a liquid inflow passage 4 communicated with the pump chamber 3 and a liquid outflow passage 5; a plunger 16 having a cylindrical plunger outer peripheral surface 16a fitted in the pump chamber 3 and reciprocated in an axial direction; a plunger guide member 11 having a cylinder guide surface 11a slidably guiding a plunger outer peripheral surface 16a; a fixed O-ring 9 provided between the pump chamber 3 and the cylindrical guide surface 11a; a moving O-ring 17 mounted on the plunger outer peripheral surface 16a and moved along with reciprocation of the plunger 16 and sealing the cylinder guide surface 11a; and a plunger washing liquid feed source A communicated with a gap V for cleaning a plunger being a gap between the cylinder guide surface 11a and the plunger outer peripheral surface 16a and between the fixed O-ring 9 and the moving O-ring 17.</p> |
