PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the scattering of organic halogen compounds by adding an alkali metal to a contaminated solid material and decomposing the compounds. SOLUTION: For example, soil contaminated with organic halogen compounds is vacuum-distilled by a distillation apparatus 2 to remove water and sent to a reactor 1. The removed water is adsorbed by an adsorption apparatus 3. In the reactor 1, a sodium dispersant including an unreacted sodium dispersant recovered by a separation apparatus 4 is added, and the organic halogen compounds are decomposed. Isopropyl alcohol is added as a reaction accelerator. After decomposition treatment, it is sent to the separation apparatus 4, the unreacted sodium dispersant is recovered, and the separated soil is sent to a distillation apparatus 6. The isopropyl alcohol is vacuum-distilled to be recovered to the reactor 1, and detoxified substances are taken out. In this way, the scattering of the organic halogen compounds is prevented to protect the environment. |
