PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device for forming a continuous tobacco article into a covered continuous cigarette article by dividing a circumferential region not having a wound press plate into the inner support region of the press plate and into a special air flow route. SOLUTION: This continuous tobacco article device is provided with a suction conveyer connected to a suction chamber along a forming region. The suction conveyer is guided around a press plate 19 rotated together with the suction conveyer in the continuous article-flowing region of a garniture device 2 for forming a continuous tobacco article into a covered continuous cigarette article. The circumferential region not wound with the plate 19 is divided into the inner support region of the press plate 19 and into an air flow route 26 of flow state bound to a suction chamber 8.
