PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gripping device positively gripping a gripped object of a conveyed body with simple structure at a low cost without using a driving means. SOLUTION: A support plate 3 is provided opposedly to a board 2 of a gripping device body 1 fitted to a robot arm R, and engaging support pins 6 are projected facing each other from the support plate 3. A grip groove 16' opened at one end, for engaging the support pins 6 is formed at a gripped object 12 fitted to a conveyed body. When lifting the gripped object 12, the support pins 6 are inserted from the open part of the grip groove 16', and the robot arm R is moved up to lift the conveyed body together with the gripped object 12 for transfer.
